Prime and central, with low-rise streets a short walk from the river and Orchard Road.
River Valley sits between Orchard Road and the Singapore River. Many of its streets are quiet and low-rise, even though the centre of the city is minutes away. A good share of the homes here are freehold, and they are often larger than newer condominiums.
The Thomson-East Coast Line changed the area. Great World and Havelock stations put River Valley on the rail network, where residents once relied mainly on cars and buses.

People who want to live in the centre, and families who want larger older homes.
