Johor Bahru city centre
Bukit Chagar and JB Sentral, Johor
The Malaysian end of the new RTS Link, opening a five-minute trip to Singapore.
The Johor Bahru to Singapore RTS Link is due to open in early 2027. It runs about 4 km from Bukit Chagar, close to JB Sentral, to Woodlands North on Singapore's Thomson-East Coast Line, in about five minutes.
Around it, the older city has a lot of character: the shophouses of Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, and the Johor Old Chinese Temple. Homes near the station are drawing attention, so it pays to look carefully at what is actually walkable.
Who it suits
People who split the week between two countries, and Singapore-based investors.
