This is one of the greenest parts of the island, and home to many of its landed houses, including Good Class Bungalow areas. It is built around the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015.
Holland Village gives the area a lively centre of cafes and shops. Between the Circle and Downtown Lines, most of the area is well connected by train.
